A place to check out what awaits you in the future halls of Cartoucherie

By 2023, the Cartucherry district aims to host France’s largest tertiary facility. While awaiting its arrival, the “500 des halles” serves as a laboratory to test the future restaurants and entertainment that will be placed in the former industrial wasteland.

A performance hall, sports area, a cinema, offices, a gourmet hall. Within 18 months, France’s third largest venue will emerge from the ground in Toulouse. It will be set up in the former industrial wasteland of Kartuchari.
Pending opening to the public, 500 square meters of the site are already used to accommodate restaurants and entertainment.
“Les 500 des halles” is the name of the laboratory intended to test the restoration and programming of Cartucherie’s future halls.
Every 6 months, two new chefs take over the kitchen of this hybrid space.
Sports lessons, events, broadcasting of Stade Toulouse matches, workshops for children, quiz evenings, workshops… 500 already organizes a lot of events.
And the people of Toulouse seem to be there. More than 50,000 visitors have already traveled through these 500 square meters.
From June 2022, an annex to the “500 des halles” will open its doors. This non-commercial space of 50 m2 will be made available to associations and actors of the district, who do not have a place for their activities and meetings. It can also be privatized for events.
Neighborhood residents or not, it’s a safe bet that Cartuchari will become very popular in the Pink City.
