Boeing resumes deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner

Boeing confirmed on Thursday that it had delivered a 787 Dreamliner to Lufthansa German Airlines, its first delivery since deliveries were halted in late February when it reported a problem with component data.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed last month that Boeing had halted deliveries due to a data analysis error related to the aircraft’s forward depressurization bulkhead, an error the company discovered after reviewing certification records.
On Friday, management said it was confident the issue had been resolved and agreed that Boeing would resume deliveries of the 787. Sources said Boeing is expected to ship another 787 to American Airlines soon.
Boeing has received orders for about 200 Dreamliners in the past four months under the deal with Saudi Arabia, and further orders from United Airlines and Air India.
