Dow Jones index flat after positive session and earnings clear by Investing.com

Investing.com – U.S. stock futures were trading slightly lower on Wednesday evening after major benchmark averages closed positive amid strong earnings results and expected economic data.

By 7:20 pm ET (2320 GMT), it was flat, down 0.1% and down 0.3%.

In extended trading, Lucid Group (NASDAQ: ) fell 12.6% after posting a loss of $0.33 per share, beating expectations of a loss of $0.39 per share, while the figure for the business came in at $97.3 million versus expectations of $145.49 million.

Clorox (NYSE: ) fell 6.5% after the company reported 4Q4 EPS of $0.93, in line with estimates, while revenue of $1.86 billion came in at $1.8 billion.

Medifast (NYSE: ) fell 11.1% after posting Q2 EPS of $3.87, beating estimates of $3.23, while revenue for the quarter came in at $453,3 million, versus estimates of $447.87 million.

Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE: ) fell 6% as the company reported Q2 EPS of $0.35, missing estimates of $0.46, on revenue of $4.61 billion versus expectations of $4.58 billion.

Qorvo (NASDAQ: ) traded down 2.7% after trading. Q1 EPS of $2.25 beat estimates of $2.11, while revenue came in at $1.02 billion versus estimates of $1.04 billion.

Yellow Corp (NASDAQ: ) gained 36.9%, with the company following. Q2 EPS of $1.17 vs $0.45 expected on revenue of $1.42 billion vs $1.4 billion expected.

Later in the session, investors await weekly data as well as the latest earnings from Eli Lilly & Company (NYSE: ), Kellogg Company (NYSE: ), . Ali Baba Group Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: ) and ConocoPhillips (NYSE: ).

In the regular session on Wednesday, the index rose 416.3 points or 1.3% to 32,821.5, the tech-heavy gained 64 points or 0.6% to 4,155.2 and the tech-heavy gained 619.4 points or 2.6% to 12,668.2.

Interest rates in the bond market stood at 2.706%.
