Alfa Romeo has implemented a development plan for the second half of the F1 season, as explained by Frédéric Vasseur. The team principal notes that the C42 will have new parts for its home race at Monza in the third grand prix after the break.
“We have the next upgrade at Monza. Then something bigger is planned for Suzuka, but it could also be Austin.” Vasseur said the FIA, which has been opposed to the change, plans to propose.
The federation wants to raise the edges of the floor by 25 mm, but the French are worried about the constant changes that will have to be made and the drifts it could bring in the second part of the season.
