Shiba Inu Community Teases Upcoming Gift Gala

Lucy, a member of the Shiba Inu team, has hinted at an upcoming gift gala on December 20th called “Shibarium Giftmas.” While sharing small anecdotes, Lucy alludes to the festivities, which will involve spending time with Shiba Inu partners at the Welly fast-food restaurant, Bad Idea AI, and Shibacals, amidst celebratory cheers.

To provide a precise glimpse into the nature of the gift, Lucy presents an invitation from Shiboshis NFT while unveiling the first gift, the “Ryoshi” Shiboshi NFT.

The year 2023 has been a memorable one for Shiba Inu as some of its visions have come to fruition. However, it has also brought its own set of challenges that Shiba Inu has navigated through.

On August 28th, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 Shibarium was relaunched after a temporary halt due to a surge in transactions shortly after its initial launch on August 16th.

At the time of writing this report, Shibarium has surpassed 51 million in total transactions, reaching 51,712,189. The total blocks are also approaching the two million mark, currently standing at 1,989,363, according to Shibarium’s inspection data.

In the coming days, Shibarium will introduce a burn mechanism aimed at reducing the supply of the native token, potentially enhancing its value and supporting its ecosystem. The burn mechanism will be divided into two stages: manual and automatic.

By January, the Shibarium burn mechanism is expected to transition fully to an automatic process. Additionally, the Shibarium test network, Puppynet, will be migrated from the Goerli network to the Sepolia network.
