BlackRock Approaches Bitcoin ETF

In X’s publication as of Monday, December 19, James Sewart, an analyst at the European Training Foundation in Bloomberg Intelligence, reported that BlackRock is getting closer to a Bitcoin ETF. Eric Balchunas, a senior analyst of exchange-traded funds at Bloomberg Intelligence, commented on Sewart’s publication, noting that BlackRock is now shifting towards cash-only approach, which he considers a “good sign”.

The amended document includes new details about the proposed fund’s creation and redemption mechanisms, referred to as the IBIT index.

BlackRock is not the only company that has updated its files for immediate Bitcoin ETF funds; others have done the same in order to create new shares for exchange-traded funds, instead of direct Bitcoin deposits.
