Former US President Donald Trump said Saturday that he expects to be arrested next Tuesday in New York state.
In a post he wrote on the “Truth” platform, Trump called to protest against the impending impeachment that will be filed against him, according to US media reports: I am the Republican candidate who is way ahead of the rest and the former president of The United States will be arrested next Tuesday Protest to take back our country. The former US president launched a scathing attack on the Manhattan attorney general, describing him as “very corrupt and politicized”.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office is investigating criminal charges against the former president related to paying a porn star during Trump’s 2016 campaign in exchange for keeping quiet about an alleged affair.
But Trump and his allies say he is politically motivated.
