Shiba Inu Takes a Bold Step in Gaming: Rebranding Shiba Eternity’s X Handle

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, recently expressed his excitement over the rebranding of the official X handle for Shiba Eternity. Yesterday on X, the handle @ShibaEternity evolved into @PlayWithShib, marking a shift in focus towards the Shiba Inu gaming community. The newly renamed Shiba Eternity X account administrators encouraged players to follow the account for more updates related to Shiba Inu games.

Shiba Inu’s Response

The rebranding was hailed as an epic move, with Shytoshi Kusama highlighting the positive nature of this development. He conveyed his enthusiasm for the initiative with the phrase “Games Galore and more! LFG.

To clarify, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team originally created the @ShibaEternity (now @PlayWithShib) account in July 2022. At that time, the X handle was dedicated to the Shiba Eternity game, which was first launched in October 2022. However, after four months of the mobile game’s release, the account became inactive for over a year.

Since resuming activities on X, the account has announced several updates, including the commencement of Shiba Eternity’s closed beta testing, among other developments.

Reason Behind the Rebranding

Angie, the head of Shiba Inu Games, revealed that the team plans to expand the Shiba Inu gaming ecosystem beyond Shiba Eternity. This development, announced in June, is aimed at connecting developers, creators, and players on Shibarium.

Some of the Shiba Inu games include Agent Shiboshi and Shiboshi Rush. The team recently launched Agent Shiboshi for Android users, with an iOS version expected soon.

As the team prepares to release more games, they decided to rebrand Shiba Eternity’s X handle to better represent the broader crypto gaming ecosystem. This move allows all Shiba Inu gaming updates to be shared from a single account, rather than creating separate handles for each game.

Meanwhile, the Shibarium version of Shiba Eternity remains in closed beta testing. Players interested in participating must stake their LEASH tokens on ShibaSwap.
