Jim Cramer Admits His Call to Sell Bitcoin in Late 2022 Was Premature

Jim Cramer, the host of Mad Money on CNBC, publicly acknowledges that his call for investors to sell Bitcoin in late 2022 was premature.

Despite Cramer’s recommendation to sell, Bitcoin has since risen by 118% and is currently trading at $37,390.

Cramer’s controversial call to sell all cryptocurrency investments came on December 5, 2022, when the price of Bitcoin was $17,150.

The American television personality, Jim Cramer, openly admits that he was too early in urging investors to sell Bitcoin during the bear market of 2022. In a recent episode of his show, Mad Money, on CNBC, Cramer responded to a caller’s inquiry about investing in Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark.

Cramer pointed out, acknowledging the inability to predict the cryptocurrency market.

Look, if you love Bitcoin, buy Bitcoin. That has always been my view. And for a while, I liked it, and I thought the money had been made, but I was premature.

This admission comes after nearly a year of Cramer urging investors on December 5, 2022, to sell all their cryptocurrency investments. At that time, the price of Bitcoin was trading at $17,150, not far from the market bottom.
