The past week has seen the emergence of details about Xahau, the upcoming smart sidechain for the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
XRP+ is the original token of the Xahau network and can be obtained through the Burn2Mint (B2M) gateway, allowing users to burn XRP on the mainnet in exchange for an equivalent amount of XRP+ on Xahau.
Last week, a snapshot of XRP holder balances was taken for the distribution of free EVRS. The snapshot was taken at account “#82237135” on the XRP mainnet. Evernode will distribute 5,160,960 Evers to eligible XRP holders, as per a previous update.
Two members of the XRP community were seen discussing the Burn2Mint (B2M) feature on the Xahau ledger on X (formerly known as Twitter). One person commented that Burn2Mint is required for XRP holders to receive Evernode distribution.
You won’t need to burn any XRP to receive the Evernode distribution. Cloning your r-address on Xahau will provide you with a sufficient amount of Xahau XRP for account opening and establishing trust lines. There’s no requirement to burn or transfer any XRP to claim the distribution.
A potential misunderstanding in the XRP community may arise from the fact that Xahau Ledger DEX will be the initial platform for EVRS trading.
Evernode’s founder has confirmed that there will be no need to burn XRP or transfer any XRP to receive the Evernode distribution.
