The mysterious Shiba Inu leader, who appears on social media under the alias Shitoshi, has caused quite a stir with his recent post on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter).
Shitoshi commented on the recent poll conducted by CoinGecko, which asked users about the blockchain they use for cryptocurrency trading. The options included Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Bitcoin Ordinals/BRC-20.
Over 10,000 people participated in the poll, with the majority (32.5%) choosing Solana. Ethereum came in second (26.9%), followed closely by BRC-20 (26.7%). Avalanche received the fewest votes at 14%.
Shitoshi quoted the tweet, adding Shibarium to the list in his X post. The second-largest cryptocurrency meme community responded with a wave of support, enthusiasm, and encouragement for Shitoshi, the SHIB team, and Shibarium.
Shibarium Achieves Tremendous Milestone, SHIB Jumps
Earlier this week, the second-layer solution Shibarium achieved a record-breaking feat as the total number of transactions surpassed 200% within two weeks. Since the end of November, it has increased over 200 times.
At the time of writing, Shibarium’s utility continues to grow significantly, with new projects building on its platform and existing projects continuing their work on this ambitious blockchain.
However, the daily transaction volume has decreased from 7-8 million to 6.45 million at the time of this report.
The number of blockchain wallets connected to Shibarium has reached 1,318,307. The current total number of produced blocks is 2,231,100.
Meanwhile, the burning rate of Shiba Inu has shown a significant increase. However, the total amount of SHIB burned is not impressive, with 5,321,687 meme coins burned, an increase of approximately 422%.
The Shiba Inu community took seven transactions to transfer these 5.3 million coins to non-spendable blockchain addresses. The largest three of them held 1,777,777 SHIB each (burned twice by the same wallet) and 1,000,000 SHIB.
Currently, the second-largest meme coin, Shiba Inu, is trading at $0.00001037 after showing a 2.82% increase.
